Lauren set out to raise $500 on a 5k run for her Confirmation service project. She knocked it out of the park by more than doubling her goal. She did it by creating a flyer and having the courage to send it to people she knew.  It takes courage to ask others to support a worthy cause, much less in this economy we find ourselves in. St. Mary’s center wants to thank Lauren for her efforts and the funds. They along with the contributions of many others help to keep St Mary’s Center open and operating. Which in turn gives the adults in the video below a great place to call home during the day.

Lauren presented her contribution to the developmentally disabled students and the staff at St Mary’s Center. They had a touching gift for her as well. The video below touches the heart. Take a few moments and watch.
